With respect Z, that 30k bed claim is out the window now. I don't know for sure but I think it was based on $10/month? Generating $3.6m at a time when costs were lower might have seen break even.
We are now getting an average $3 per bed with annualised costs of $6.4m, say $5.5m after R&D rebate. That's 155000 beds to breakeven.
I am unclear if that discount is due to the government roll out or not as it's supposed to be starting November 1. But it does explain Davids comments at TechKnow that getting RACs to pay for a pain assessment that is currently 'free', is hard. I think the company philosophy is now to get them to sign up for a discount as the stickiness of the product will mean the price can revert down the track.
