Even non impaired adults give very different responses to current pain assessment tools. 1 patient can be joking and wandering around stating they have pain 9/10, another can be doubled over clenching their sore spot and say 5/10. Pain is subjective.
Someone who has experienced childbirth, migraine etc, will have a very different concept of "worst possible pain" to someone who has never had worse than a headache or sprain. It is relative.
It would be fantastic if pck app provides an objective pain assessment for everybody, not just dementia, infants or non verbal autism. (By the way many autism people have sensory processing disorder which can cause awful sensations/sensitivities)
