Three weeks after the announcement, the website for Kalari hasn't been updated, with photos of staff in Swire International uniforms and apparent ownership by that international (long established trading) company if one reads the 'about us' section. No great surprise, as these administrative/IT tasks take time.
Interestingly Kalari has vacancies for heavy vehicle drivers at Ceduna and Olympic Dam, South Australia. Neither is exactly a capital city location, and Ceduna in particular would have high prices for food, so one wonders how challenging it is to recruit (and keep) road transport drivers in such locations.
The QUB summaries of each company are excellent but strangely there's no mention of how many are employed at Kalari.
Good to see that both businesses are claimed to be immediately accretive.
There have been many delays to container shipping in and out of NZ in recent months so one wonders how that affects the now 50 per cent owned NZ acquisition. Logistical headaches!
