Thanks to Tonza for reminding about the patent situation. Looking at the list, seems that AXE is definitely taking the tight lipped approach rather than applying for more patents. Certainly a more cost efficient way till they have worked out what market(s) we are targeting. Behaving like a smart nanotechnology materials company is in AXE's DNA. Nanomaterials engineering to integrate qubit material into standard chips. Nanomaterials engineered to be sensitive bio sensors that can also amplify the bio 'signal'. AXE is focusing on nanomaterials with the required electrical properties that will give it the edge in both fields.

In this 12CQ ann, AXE has pivoted from qubit in a vacuum to qubit in air with a fabricated nano layer coating around the qubit material. They're still sticking with planar rather than the more recent 3D stacked device architectures which essentially means they're sticking with retaining full control of the width of transistors in a 12CQ more accurately. So this is CMOS tech, MOSfets. This is all R&D stages to advance the design to some version of a chip that AXE is not telling us...yet. Next, sufficiently shielded from electromagnetic effects, also, qubit states maintained at higher than room temps I would guess. But knowing past history, we could get an announcement from left field about some collaboration or other. Or as Tonza has speculated, a take over that is perfectly timed. " To industrially scale Archer's 12CQ qubit architecture" to me means, 'we are looking for a chip home that we can comfortably move into, meanwhile, we are working on our value add'
