At last, well done to the Qld Govt for a principled stance with SGR, wanting yet another taxpayer funded bailout, while some executives are paid massive bonuses on top of eye watering remuneration. Seems to be lessons learned from the NSW Govt. who bailed out the Sydney Venue in August 2023 with a high value deferred tax concession agreement, that was supposed to resolve their financial predicament, but not so. Some members may be concerned at this decision by the Qld Govt, spruiking vociferously over time as to the absolute need to remunerate nonperforming Boards and former CEOs with these long since dated excesses.
