national good !! I only can wish it was for the national good. The opposite will occur. Coal miners in QLD will need to cost cut and rationalise to hit a sweet spot between profit and production. With a 40 % tax rate over $300 a tonne it may not be profitable given current mine set up. Under the previous scheme they would of been going hell for leather to take advantage of spot price while it lasts.
