I recall overlooking a very pertinent fact about Afterpay. My initial stance was that their loan book was high risk and would have a lot of provisioning. However, after listening to a podcast, it was clear to me that given the small values of their loans, quick repay time, and millions of customers, their loan book was actually very low risk.
I think that is why in part they are value so highly, due to their low risk book.
