This high-grade cobalt concentrate is an addition to the Project's economics - and as you point out an extremely valuable one! - separate to the high-grade nickel bearing vermiculite and the magnetite iron concentrates.
It sits atop the nickel laden saprolite, so needs to be mined anyway. And I understand the host manganese oxides can be readily identified visually as a darkened band (so real ease of selective mining).
Like all the other processing mooted for Quicksilver, simple mechanical separation (wet scrubbing, screening and gravity) upgrades this stuff And they're talking concentrate grades up to a very respectable 0.85%.
We're trading at shell value now when even a wildcard in the portfolio like our JV'd tenements with Kin Mining (located right in the thick of an exciting new VHMS discovery at Cardinia) could easily explode into focus. Kin's drilling targets as I write.
I wonder how management would react if out of the blue there was an offer for a 100% buy-out of that ground by the cashed-up KIN?
And as you observe, there's a ton of other value here besides.
