Yeah I was under the impression the qualification they were running was to seek acceptance of the quickstep process to manufacture the tail spars. While that seems to be the case from the article,
as you say plans may have changed and they've had to go autoclave for whatever reason. Let's face it the aircraft OEM's are notoriously slow at any change, which is fair enough from a safety perspective.
