Having followed RAC for 3-4 years and meeting Dr T this is clearly not the news we expected.

I thank Daniel for the direction he has given RAC and where RAC is now heading. His legacy will be long and large.

We could speculate forever, but Daniel made is clear his decision was in the best interest of shareholders...

If there is one section of the interview I suggest people listen, it is from about 10:30 and especially from 11:45 where they start to talk about commercialisation of Race/ Zantrene. DCB mentions commercialisation and "partnering with RAC" but then adds in "and/or licencing agreements".

I have often wondered how the company will manage the commercialisation of Zantrene and posted several times the conundrum of a quick sale, where some of what Zantrene can do to help people may not be fully exploited (hidden by the new owners) and licencing Zantrene for all indications which arguably would be a slower burn for shareholder returns. The scientist would likely opt for the licencing path (slower returns) to ensure Zantrene is beneficial to as many sufferers as possible and the business/sales person would go for the quick kill and reward.

I think the real dip may come on Monday when punters have time to absorb the news.
The science, narrative and current trials have not changed.
...and one man do not maketh a company such as RAC.
