I think your fourth question answered your third question.
Why would they close early, as stated, if heavily oversubscribed, without knowing to be oversubscribed.
And I suspect you know the answer to questions one and two.

For someone who claims it "odd" for company reps to post here, you seem to revel in the feedback.
