Just some weekend pondering over how the SP responded to the news on Friday.. In what can only be described as a rough market right now, the news of Merchant investing at 30c saw the SP hit 40c and ultimately still close more than 10% up for the day at 36.5c.. pretty strong result given the conditions.
Curious if any of the buying on Friday was Merchant.. We do know the company has been keen to minimise dilution, so it’s possible Merchant were after a larger stake than they got (they seem to take decent sized positions in other investments). If it was them buying more on market I wonder how much more they are looking to buy
