People are failing to appreciate that any "astute buyer" who starts to TRY to purchase RAC stock cheap (on market) will be spotted early by Merchant (who are both a traders problem and our regular retail investors guardian Angel) as they will spot the buying in 5-10 minutes and simply bot the selling (sending the SP) through the roof.
The would be buyer will not get more than a handful of shares ... maybe 100-150k, max before the SP has lifted 15% or so and the brakes gone on the selling while holders become suspicious to the buying. (Via social media, HC included). Perhaps an ASX speeding ticket??? Who knows.
So that "astute buyer" will need to put an offer to the exec at +50% or so ... which will then get rejected - presumably. But in the meantime other instos/corps start to wise up and the wholesale buyers start to sniff around during the related TH (and begin urgent analysis/discussions/or whatever).
So this SP dip is just a retail driven, market sentiment blip-in-time, when many have been shaken out of their shares cheaply.
Luckily we have a few good TA commentators on HC:RAC (and a few shady down rampers turning up at these times who always seem to enjoy trying to spread panic). It's a very common signal BUY signal ( huge volume when the SP is trading historically low and regular longs questioning everything (including myself as I'm human!)) and the circling sharks (down-rampers), spreading negative vibes.
So far the chart is acting absolutely perfectly and represents a lesson straight from the text book - TA101.
Hence the opportunity for the first "astute buyer" to make a cheeky offer will be next week, as the chart will look like a red flag to a bull.
Here's my Traders Diary (below) for one account with RAC. It's up-to-date except for just under 7000 purchased at $1 at close ... so since $1.46, 104,491 sold and roughly 40k repurchased yesterday.
Sure ... I'm still short 60k (just based on the below) but I have until $1.46 to rebuy if I wish to.
That's how this works if you get it right. But it's risky and you are always trying to second guess, and very often the emotion still surfaces and sways your thinking the wrong way. And I'm always asking questions on HC to try to see through the sentiment ... it's a very trying time to trade as logic tells you one thing but your emotions are saying exactly the opposite. And the more you like a stock (like I do with RAC) the harder it is to do the TA so you have to be absolutely certain.
I watched the DCB webinar and thought ... bet there's only 50 people listening ... even if there's 200, only 20 of them will understand, and even then they will have mixed emotions ... so that webinar was the final straw for many weak longs I assumed as it gave mixed messages in a very long winded manner for the average long - even me - and I'm sure I saw DCB touch his nose at a significant time - if so he's also worried just a little ... "tomorrow, next week or a month". lol
@Hunterr Looks like you have your TA buy signal and a weekend to ponder it.
Below is an example of averaging out, to then average back in. You can't sell them all one day and buy the next. Some of the TA'ers around here would have you think you can, but you can't. (It's so difficult to trade RAC unlike many other popular biotechs) And it's not the safe way to trade RAC.
Now - if RAC goes into a TH on Monday and I can't rebuy more back cheap ... I've lost a heap of shares ... but I have a fair few others so that's the risk I take. No reward without risk!
