Because the r/r AML patients have exhausted all treatment options the only way you could run a double blind trial is to run a placebo as the comparator arm. Untreated all AML patients die - commonly within a few weeks.
In practice it wouldn’t be possible to run a double blind study anyway given that Bisantrene is fluro orange and makes your urine fluro orange too.
