Some things that are important for timeframe for recruiting and readouts.
Israel trial:
Open-label means that doctors will have insights into how the drug is performing well before trial readouts ... very bullish for fast recruitment and timeframe to achieve readouts, given doctors will also know the result from the 2020 trial and doctors will also know the results from the historic trials in the 1980s and 1990s.
Further to this ... COVID is well under control in Israel ...
Australian EM AML trial:
- Will also be an open-label trial (so doctors will have awareness of response of first patients in trial)
- Israel trial is open-label and a good chance the Israel trial will have finished recruitment before the Australian EM AML trial doses first patient
- First readouts may also have occurred from the Israel trial before the Australian trial recruits
- Interesting that there will be two arms:
- A low-dose arm in combination - I wonder where dosage sits in scale (closer to dosage used at high-dose or closer to dosage used for inhibiting FTO)
- A high-dose arm as single agent
