In a 2016 article, Transborders said the breakeven was USD6 per mmBTU. The current LPG price in Japan is approx USD30 per mmBTU. Just run a pipe to port. Easy as!
The beauty is that the project includes an internal financier. It does not require any (much) funding from BRU. Obviously, this will be reflected in the sales price ex wellhead.
Another really good aspect is that the facility will not be built on land with all the inefficient construction and time risks. They just sail the finished facility into the harbour.
