Funny thing about real communists, in contrast to the self-serving jabberers dossing about on the taxpayers back in Australia, is that real communists (once they get power) just love developing gas, coal, nuclear.... you name it.

One of announcements from the Xi-Putin love fest in Moscow is that Russia will open the mammoth untapped Siberian gas reserves for development, outside the control of the Russian state agent Gazprom.

Clearly an invitation to the Beijing regime to get in there, extract, and build pipelines straight through to Guangzhou et al. Two 'superpowers' bound by infrastructure and energy.

If that gets the starting whistle, in the time it takes:
- six of our watermelons to buy some pot, take away some vegan spring rolls, and organise a demo demanding more Zero for all Australians,
- broadcast 'the controversial outrage' on the ABC,
- have a 'fiery debate' in parliament,
- followed by an apology to 'the world community',
- and commission reporting in perpetuity from various Govt agencies,

Chinese business will have it done and dusted - opening up the pipeline valves full-throttle to supply their ever growing needs.

How lucky we are that the Japanese don't want to be ruled by the CCP, and can sail in a ready made FLNG solution.

In return, all we need to do (as a nation) is refrain from getting hysterically Zero or indulge primordial fantasies, and the Govt/watermelons will still get their tax rake off.

Just how hard can it be for the few remaining grown-ups in the room to save the arses of the Heroes of Zero?
