It's an eyebrow raiser given the tenor of the results in soils. Having said that we got lucky when the previous owner of the Kellys Copper Mine decided to pull the plug and we secured that key area with gold -as well as copper - on the contact of the basalt and the granites. Granites being the operative word -something not even mentioned at the commencement of the project - nor on anyone's radar screens not so long ago.
We may be in with a big chance at Ragged Range in the conventional basalt /ultramafic settings but I am excited about the gold on the granite contacts. I believe the East Pilbara granite domains could be hosts to further large gold discoveries - similar to the De Grey bonanza in the Mallina Basin granite settings.
Noone several years ago would have imagined a 9 million oz gold resource anywhere in the Pilbara .

Meantime THR are doing a fantastic job and carrying out a very professional exploration program at Ragged Range.
