There have been many exploration programs over the entire GGP - Macarthur - Pilbara Goldfields (Thor) areas the last 40-50 years. Research WAMEX on the DMIRS site -intensive drill programs at depth in the mafic terrains did not come up with any gold discoveries. That does not mean that with more modern technology and persistence a significant gold discovery is not possible but in my opinion Thor are ignoring the real potential - gold in the granites.
