I guess, emotions aside, decision process should be:
a) if you have a view to cash in then do nothing and hope for an higher bidder and then exposed to pay CGT
b) if you have a view that the resource at Lake Roe is great and gold bull will continue to run and RMS will unlock the value at Lake Roe with synergies from proximity to Lake Rebecca...then it does not really matter to get a high bid as the higher price RMS pay for the BRB the lower is the upside for the new RMS Company
However for b) there is a case to get more RMS shares for each BRB shares, which again equates dilution for the new company you want to be SH in.
