Not so sure that Edna May's future is so precarious as Esh (rightly) questions.
They've got 151k oz at 2.3g/t at Marda which is 191k from Edna May and then they may have another 485k oz at 2.09g/t at Tampia Hill which is 140k from Edna May. Looks like they think carting 2g/t ore up to 200k's is a feasible proposition. The cherry on top of Tampia is the Mace prospect which looks to offer a reasonable amount of ore at substantially higher grades than the main Tampia pit.
Having plants with spare capacity allows Ramelius to give critical mass to deposits that otherwise would be uncommercial. Hopefully they are not throwing good money after bad and these acquisitions are not just being made to justify the decision to acquire Edna May (for me personally I'd rather a gold miner that I invested in was at least having a crack and not sitting on the sidelines so I support this recent activity).
