Stockholm-listed Capio on Friday knocked back the bid from Ramsay Générale de Santé, the French subsidiary in which Ramsay owns a 50.9 per cent stake and which is chaired by Mr McNally, saying it undervalues the company.
Mr McNally told The Australian Financial Review on Sunday it would be "far too premature" to commit to a higher bid. However he said Capio, with operations in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, France and Germany, would be a "really strong strategic fit with our business".
