I understand Cryptos fully, I have known about them since 2010, I saw Bitcoin rise to $30 and then fall back to $2 on MtGox and I could have got into them then but my reasoning was anyone can make another Bitcoin, why would you use the first bitcoin when you could use a newly generated one that does the same thing but is cheaper, crypto investing is not based on reasoning.
What has happened is targeted sophisticated promotion of it, the large holders likely pay to get articles and youtube shows pushing it to get more people in it and it's been pumping for years. There is only one gold, it has properties that are unique and a duplicate or a Gold 2 that is the same can not be created, same with silver. With Crypto, the same thing can be created to infinity, they might not work on the same fork/network but you can have the same thing for free.
Gold will run the clock out on crypto.
