plough I would again strongly encourage you to read up on the Fast Track Act process. The decision you refer to went through the Queenstown Lakes District Council with all the usual RMA consenting issues. SMI will have the resource consent dealt with by a government appointed panel. It won’t be open for public submissions. Only invited experts will present evidence. The only appeals allowed have to come from from people whose property is directly affected, which cuts out all the pressure groups. The Act is designed to achieve super speedy consents.
