    But we're they producing a magnetite concerntrate through a beneficiation process ? Please clarify.

    That saline water was probably from the bore fields around the mine to bring the water table down below the pit floor (de-watering)
    These bore fields are not hundreds of kilometres away either. they are basicly right there.


    The paticular use of this salty water in mining you talk of is very loose and isn't clear. Can you please clarify exactly what the water was used for.
    Was it used for dust suppression on haul roads, dust suppression on stockyards, stackers & reclaimers?
    Was the particular mining you refer to a magnetite ore that goes through a very complex beneficiation process to produce a high Fe concentrate?

    It is a very well-known fact that salty water is not recommended for use in the benefication of Fe and has many negative impacts.

    I look forward to your response, and could you please name these particular mines also.
