Tariff revenue doesn’t flood new wealth into the U.S. economy. It’s more of a tax burden on American businesses and consumers. The USD might stay firm in the short term due to trade imbalances and demand, but that’s not guaranteed. Gold could go either way, but longer-term uncertainty, inflation, and global dedollarization trends generally support gold more than hurt it and this is clear the trend atm.
