I thought these bits from the big man's recent interview were particularly interesting:
- 'when we were doing the RC drilling you could see bag after bag that was just black after sulphide'
- 'to see pyrite disseminated over such wide widths...when we were drilling, I couldn't believe it...I was personally very excited to see up to 50m of bags that were jet black...I haven't seen that at Mulgabbie North at that project ever...'
From what I understand as a mug retail punter (no geo or any expert of the sort), when pyrite and other iron sulphides are abundantly scattered throughout sandstone, they can darken the sandstone giving it a dark grey or black look (weathering gives it a more rusty or reddish look). When I look at the colour of the sandstone at NST's Carosue Dam (Whirling Dervish), its black and the gold mineralisation contains mostly pyrite sulphides (source: WAMEX Report 99441). Hopefully this augers well for OZM's chances haha! GLTAH. AIMHO (DYOR).
