It's a good point. According to the theory the best time for share price appreciation is during discovery and prior to feasibility. Yet the theory doesn't appear to be holding in the case of companies such as AAR and even MEK which are experiencing good gains.
Perhaps Phase 3 is where we want to be (the first spike on the left) and forget the mining for now. Phase 3 - Euphoria: Investors may bid up the stock price based on high expectations, often leading to a peak in share value.
We need more of those 3kg / ton hits but much wider to stir things up. We may be in the sweet spot right now.
