Massive population in South East Asia, increasing incidence of diabetes and foot ulcers, let alone sepsis and many other infections so chance for a large, and compared to the US, very cheap trial. Everyone knows the US Health system is totally f#####, and the political red tape and $'s required to break into the system is ludicrous. I think this is a smart way for an Aussie Company to use its ingenuity and product to assist an immediate neighbour and ally in an area they desperately need help with. Governments on both sides will pull all the levers they can to make this happen, which may include $'s through grants unlike with the US. and if they see broad success on a far larger scale than we have had in Australia, suitors will come running anyway, in time. A smart play for a cash strapped bio with great product, bearing in mind they will get 43% of everything spent back.
