Whenever this question comes up I remind myself of Dr. John Cade.
Dr Cade, so I've been told, was apparently a distant cousin of mine (several times removed), and he discovered that Lithium could be used to treat mania.
This was absolutely a globally significant breakthrough in the treatment of mania, and he received international recognition for his work.
How much did he make from this? Not one dime.
The problem lay in the fact that Lithium is an Element; You can't patent an Element.
Therefore, there was no "product" he could market. Whilst his science was brilliant, he never made any serious money from his discovery.
I'm keenly aware that Recce needs to find the right price for the market in order for them to make money. (Which I'm quietly confident they will do)
We will only make money if they get that part right.
