On a brighter note, things might improve for GCN if the Chairman got himself a speech writer. We need less fluff and more emotive conciseness.
I have just watched a doco on the 100 days of Winston Churchill's efforts that saved Britain in 1940. I thought Richard Li might make a Churchillian speech along the lines of:
We shall fight on the Chinese beach heads, we shall fight in our ASX announcements, we shall fight in the courts and in the liquidator's office, we shall fight on Jermaine's music competition platform; we shall never surrender.
One of Churchill's other speeches needs no editing for use by GCN:
I have nothing to offer but blood, toil, tears and sweat. We have before us an ordeal of the most grievous kind. We have before us many, many long months of struggle and of suffering.
