My personal notes from the presentation in case it's of interest to anyone as an adjunct to the published deck:- Australia is not meeting renewable energy targets.- They see only two solutions for 24/7 baseload power generation; nuclear or geothermal. Good Govt engagement on the basis of the regulatory uncertainty and high Capex for the former.- Historical reliance on cheap coal and gas, but push for net zero is changing the landscape.- Two years of work, choosing geothermal for genuine 24/7 baseload, not dependent on sun or wind.- Advanced geothermal systems with closed-loop technology work with similar depth and temperatures suitable for known temperatures within their chosen tenements,
- Already working with governments In QLD and SA.- Didn't work years ago as it only worked in the ring of fire. Now proven closed-loop systems work shallower depth and temperature suitable for Australia.- interest in geotherma from major industry players e.g., the likes of Baker Hughes, Chevron, BP, and BHP. All of them are working on geothermal. Given the MD is the former CEO of $4b market cap Beach its a fair bet they're already engaging industry partners.- International tech partner agreement, geotechnical testing, early heat testing, potential farm-ins, non dilutive funding e.g., government, grant or industry partner funding, all potential milestones. Just imo.- Testing market interest with oil and gas players for potential partnerships.- Government policy already supports geothermal development; funding discussions ongoing, unlike nuclear.- Global comparison: US producing equivalent to powering the entire Western Australia. It's proven technology used in 30 countries now.
