I had similar thoughts, but did not look that deeply into numbers. But in general I think:
If I want to know something about a property, I go to realestate.com - and click straight past domain.com.
REA is the way bigger player, and has a dominant place, enabling price-setting, rather than price-accepting.
In investing, I believe (with the proviso of generally speaking) it is somewhat safer to invest into the leader of the pack, rather the follower. Eg, rather CBA, than ANZ, rather Nvidia than AMD, etc. hence: rather REA than DHG
I reckon Mr market thinks similarly. ... and that means higher multiples. Just guessing.
