If you have a bank account registered, ie the one they credit distributions, then you won't have a problem as they will credit the redemption amount to the same account.
They will send you a cheque if there isn't a registered account. And what they're saying is make sure you cash it in within 12 months, otherwise funds will be sent to the State.
