Probably pointless asking here as the viewership of this stock on HC is dismal, but I'll ask anyway.

What are people's thoughts on cash v scrip.
Not so long ago the biggest investment theme was to get foreign earners into your portfolio - hence it wouldn't surprise me to see quite a bit of scrip being taken. Especially now that IRM is performing quite well.
On the otherhand, the big discount to the takeover will have no doubt resulted in a shift towards more arbitrage traders finding themselves on the register, who undoubtedly will take the cash option if held to maturity.
