There is nothing informed in the market about this announcement.

If the senior lenders end up with 95% of the equity and write off a large proportion of the debt, then their aim is to make a motza from an increasing share price and the current market price may actually be a good entry point.

But who knows? We have no idea how the debt level will stand after the recap, and shareholders are even being asked to vote on the recap.

Absolutely a crap announcement...because of what it doesn't say.
