Look at lord howe island who recently got funding for solar and large battery that has to do overnight and they still have diesel generation backup
The Makani system could be simply deployed off the coast away from people and bland bird life and supplement generation in non solar hours.
Have you seen a pricing per MW for Makani and running costs. /
Simple mooring could have quick disconnect to enable towing into harbour for service - there is a lot of positives
