I did not own the shares then, so how could I sell them ? It is not 30000000 mill shares outstanding. It is 1.7 billion. (after cap raising @ options exercised). There have been plenty of companies that have that many shares outstanding and make a profit.
I do agree with a previous post that some of this cap raising is paying of creditors/debt. Plenty of companies have done that too. Look at Santos.
BLK is issuing shares rather than increasing debt.
Brian Dixon in his famous words, we are looking at multiple opportunities for finance. Liked debt. I think this new way of finance is very dilutive but less risky. Let's face it, Brian Dixon finance got us in this very risky place in the first place.
