Businesses claim these R&D tax incentives with reckless abandon; accountants are constantly chasing after them encouraging them to apply for anything they can. It's an extra revenue stream for accountants. But I would be shocked if a business like CTQ isn't entitled to these incentives when so many other businesses apply for the same R&D incentives for much less good reasons. Suppose will have to see what happens but I'm betting this will get smoothed over. Whether or not the lawyers involved are cheaper than the $3 million ATO bill will be the bigger risk.
