‘Direct cycle solution suggested as technically feasible’ if this means feeding the steam from the well directly into the turbine, rather than using a heat exchanger, that’s going to be simpler and cheaper. Cophaue produces ‘dry’ steam instead of the usual hot brine. Dry steam is for me one of the major positives of Cophaue. Even if a heat exchanger is adopted the clean output of the wells makes design and maintenance much easier.
