The bidder and the responsible entity are associated. Conflict of interest much?
This has happened before with PaperlinX vs PXUPA affair - although the bankers that wrote the prospectus for the latter were cunning enough to issue the 1 'golden share' in PXUPA to PaperlinX so that the responsible entity could be deemed to be "acting in the best interests of unitholders".
APW's Wang-Nott-Love trio weren't as crafty with writing loopholes into governance structure, and the nature of the units are different, so it will be interesting to see what the RE does.
