If one asks why would someone do this, or what benefits are sought from these behaviours, the mind boggles re: Motive
Trying to mop up retail punters on the cheap?
Trying to refocus FAR mgt away from the real "value adding job" at hand? so they are unprepared for future events?
This is not a "love job", where actions are undertaken for the joy...
I'm glad I'm ignoring the day to day noise.
