This investment has turned out to be a stroke of brilliance.
NOV invested approximately $23 million to obtain their 19.8% stake in RKN. As of right now, that stake is worth just shy of $30 million.
Not to mention the potential $10 - $20 million special dividend on the way to NOV.
Not only has this investment been financially beneficial, NOV have been able to secure a business partnership with RKN. NOVs business partnership is unaffected by the sale, as stated in the announcement.
