Mozzie - have been in and out multiple times in both directions over past 12 months, both profitably and unprofitably. Sorry I interpreted not held/held as stock, not position, so didn't tick the times I was short.
My short bias was based on the financial smoke and mirrors. SGD and USD appreciation was as plain as day and came later just as a shot in the shorters' arm.
Don't get too disconcerted with shorters. They play a crucial part in sifting through the hubris. With a company head quartered on the GC there is bound to be plenty of that. And Motley Fool. Don't get me started...
I'd rather be fully informed and wrong than wholly reliant on someone else's research and right (read: lucky). There has been some fantastic research and commentary on HC over the past year I have been watching GEM. Great to see some solid fundamental analysis on an industrial stock and not just elephant hunting "this hole might contain bucket loads [insert flavour of the month commodity here]...".
