A recession in the USA, if it happens, would have nothing to do with Greta Thunberg or green agendas. It's happening because the Americans pumped too much money into their economy during Covid (to avoid a recession), and the money just ended up in the share market creating an almighty valuation bubble. Their average stock P/E's reached unsustainable highs. Their bubble is now bursting (look at the S&P 500, Nasdaq), and taking everything else with it. Had they spent the money investing in green agendas (which they should have done), we'd now have this sector of the market much more developed, more green jobs and investment, taking Australian mining stocks along for the ride.
