Why would you think that? Anyone who naively thinks we'll be offered more that about 24 cents obviously hasn't been in the market for long. With little doubt we'll see the usual "VWAP + 30%".
And talk of Smorgans holding up a takeover is, once gain, naïve noobie talk. Anyone who has been in the market long enough would now that, with little exception, the largest shareholders (and often, the board to) are looked after by the bidder, by allowing them to continue their holding in the new entity, or via some other enticement that shareholders are never offered. Takeovers are rarely a level playing field, and it is always we pleb shareholders that lose out.
