Good points have been made above.

As someone from the industry you will find that recruiters will still post their ads wherever they can. It's not like every job ad posted is going to be filled via one particular platform.

Yes, its true that a recruiters greatest asset is their database - however we are slowly seeing recruiters understand that a database of good up-to-date data is more important that the total number of users in that database

    Some cases in point
    - Hays has partnered with SEEK
    - A large % of IT recruiters use iProfile to share/update candidate information http://iprofile.org/
    - NPA members regularly share jobs/candidates in a private portal

Hays partners with SEEK to turbocharge candidate database

In other news, Hays has partnered with SEEK to integrate the online employment marketplace's extensive candidate database into its internal infrastructure.
Under the partnership, Hays will combine its 1.8 million candidate profiles with the four-million-plus profiles in SEEK's Talent Search database to create a network of Australian and New Zealand talent.
The arrangement will be powered by SEEK's search and data science technology but fully integrated with the recruitment company's internal infrastructure.
Ilczynski said the new system will make it easier for recruiters to find the best candidates, which will in turn improve the efficiency of the recruitment process.
Hays global CEO Alistair Cox said the partnership and "blend of modern technologies" will also set the agenda for innovation in the recruitment industry, where data and data science are becoming key differentiators.
SEEK and Hays will continue to collaborate over the coming months to further improve the functionality of the arrangement.
