Considering this announcement again and referencing the below paragraph about the green square depot.

Handover Facility: To cope with the current and future growth of the DriveMyCar​

business, a vehicle storage and handover facility has been established at Green Square

in Sydney. This facility is conveniently located near the airport and Sydney CBD, in close
proximity to Europcar and Budget depots, and will serve the needs of travellers and
corporate customers. The ManageMyCar service will be relocated from Kings Cross to​

Green Square where the services available to corporate fleet owners will be expanded.


This is a real game changer for DMC to have it's own Depot (vehicle handling facility). The costs for this facility wouldn't be taken onboard without something major to negate the cost burden. We are traditionally a Software 'Marketplace' business (lean operation), now we have a depot (overheads). Something major IMO is making us go in this route, what is the driver??:-

Subaru, potentially are requiring us to have a facility to manage the volume of cars they wish to put on our marketplace, however we would have heard about this facility supporting the XV's on the previous announcement I would assume.

Trivett, is a viable option, might like the platform but don't want customers coming to there dealerships so the vehicles may now be located at Green Square, they are still on the platform.

Orix, well I thought this was the client originally, however they are expanding at their own facility now.

Leaseplan, been on DMC for over 18months, defiantly could be this company.

Interleasing, very viable that they want to go to the next level. They have shown commitment with 150+ vehicles on the platform and may want to go to 300+ but have requested depot support?.

Government, their has been talk of a government pilot for 18months now, could this be in support of an expanded deal.
