Sorry, but the treatment isn't like that... I mean the missus can do that. No, CPAP is the main way of combating sleap apnea . It works by a silent pump putting continuous positive air pressure into the trachea through to lungs. Patient without it sleeps with mouth open and the toungue drops and prevents air getting into the lungs, thereby starving blood of oxygen, critical for muscle operation ( heart is muscle). When the O2 level drops, the brain kick-starts the diaphragm with an electric shock forcing a breath to be taken. The CPAP machine ensures positive air into the lungs, saving the heart from starving of oxygen.
RAP will detect these episodes by analyzing the breathing noise pattern and recording it for analysis, instead of wires collecting electrical impulses from the brain to facial and diaphragm muscles.
We're on a winner here! IMO.

But that interrupt your deep sleep, this will be a small pitch noise and allow you to realign you position to breath more air while still in deep sleep.
