For goodness sake, take some smelling salts or a cold shower - whatever it takes to wake you up and look at this with fresh eyes, and not as a chance to resurrect old RED grudges, or some other theory .... will people please reread the Petra analyst and accept that this is the best professional analysis one is likely to see at this point in time .... just look at the SP ... this "merger" (reverse takeover) is not getting market approval !!

Remember, Petra was one of the most prominent and influential supporters of a higher valuation for Doray, when SLR made an outrageous underbid for Doray, and then tried to browbeat Doray shareholders into accepting SLR shares at 20c ..... subsequently SLR increased their bid to 40c/share, and some cashed in, other held, and the SLR SP went up substantially to a new 7 yr high, and SLR rerated.
Now SLR have lobbed an outrageous bid for a merger, which is a reverse takeover in all but name - Luke et al, gets to take the reins and RED gets naming rights - this is equivalent of changing the jockey, on the leading horse coming into the straight .... changes nothing except for the jockey and his supporters.
Don't take any notice of whats on the SLR blog or anything coming from SLR management - its totally distorted and self serving.
SLR offers no regional synergies, and the "gold" that its offering to put in RED's saddle bags, will slow RED as surely as if was lead !
Once SLR has control, then they will make a pitch to GMD and they will collect that premium, not RED shareholders !!
Luke once ran St.Barbara's and Ralph was once one of his subordinates .... they will come to an understanding eventually - Luke steps down and hands the mantle to Ralph, and Luke becomes director emeritus of the new mini-NST .... nice one Luke.
Let's cut out this middle man, and wait for the right deal, the only deal that makes long term sense - RED Genesis.
Machiavelli would see this "merger" as a way to flush out GMD, so they get the synergies they need without having to go thru a muddle man (pun intended)

While Petra are not directly involved with this reverse takeover, a lot of their clients will have lots of shares, and they are very likely to find Petra's latest analysis as compelling.
If SLR dont pull this off, other than a nice little bit of 'greenmail' profit, where are they headed ? Is any company in the slightest interested in acquiring SLR and it's tired old assets ??? - I do't think so - as for the suggestion (by SLR supporters) that SLR should be getting a 'takeover premium' .... LOL ... " you cant be serious "
